Fire Risk Assessments

Experts in Fire Risk Assessments at every level

Why do you need a fire risk assessment?
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 you must prove you have carried out suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments to identify the fire hazards and people at risk on your business premises and that you’ve reduced the risk to a reasonable level . If you employ five or more people and/or have a licence to operate you must also keep a written record of significant findings. If not, you could be faced with hefty fines, prosecution and ultimately your business premises could be closed down.

Making sure you’re compliant doesn’t have to be difficult. With highly experienced experts with a background in fire safety right up to Fire Engineer level, Risk and Safety Plus help you ensure your business is protected. You can have:

• A fire risk assessment anywhere in the UK
• An action plan for improvement – created by pragmatic experts who will balance the need to operate a viable business with the legal requirements.
• Experts who can negotiate with the Fire and Rescue Service on your behalf to implement reasonable and cost effective measures to meet legislation
• A project manager to manage everything from installing new alarm systems, fire doors and emergency lights to building regulatory requirements

If you’re building new buildings or extensions to your premises
When constructing a building it’s important to get a fire strategy document (sometimes called a fire risk assessment by building controls) for your premises at the early building stages. This will save you a lot of problems later on and save costly alterations.

Don’t risk your business
Having fire prevention measures is common sense – they are there to protect lives. If your fire risk assessments are out of date, you haven’t done one before or you’ve been visited by the Fire and Rescue Service to audit your business premises, you need to take action sooner rather than later.

Our team are predominantly ex Fire and Rescue service with additional qualifications in fire safety; you’ll be in safe hands.
